Edie Britt (played by Nicollette Sheridan) is the neighborhood slut and proud of it. Her conquests, while legendary, have alienated her from the other women of Wisteria Lane. Her only friend came in the form of the town busy body, Martha Huber. The two shared an antagonistic relationship that sadly came to a tragic end when Martha was mysteriously murdered.
